Jakub Matušek (1998, Trnava, Slovakia) is a visual artist working between Slovakia and the Czech Republic. He graduated from the Josef Vydra School of Applied Arts in Bratislava (stone sculpture department, 2014–2018) and later studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Brno University of Technology (2018–2024).

In his artistic practice, Matušek works primarily with sculpture, objects, and artistic jewelry. He combines traditional sculptural materials such as stone and wood with composite materials and polymer 3D printing technologies. His work often explores the relationship between the individual and the collective through the multiplication of figurative elements and the construction of structures composed of identical figures.

His current body of work, Waiting for Better Times, focuses on the motif of the crowd and reflects themes of social passivity, collective anticipation, and migration as a response to uncertainty.
